AI PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION
Blending Brutalist Architecture with Handbag Collection
Project Overview
Within the Ai Co-Creation Workshop at AMD Düsseldorf, i helped Xenia Krowka to embarked on an ambitious project combining the understated elegance and „Quiet Luxury“ aesthetic of Acne Studios® with the bold, raw qualities of Soviet-era Brutalist architecture. The objective was to create a handbag series that authentically reflects both sophisticated minimalism and architectural strength.
Phase 1: Research & Concept Development
The initial stage involved extensive research on Brutalist architecture to distill the defining characteristics of the style. This provided the foundation for creating a strong visual vocabulary and helped identify keywords such as:

Phase 2: Conceptualizing with Midjourney
Utilizing the generative AI tool Midjourney, Xenia explored creative possibilities through blending images. By merging Acne Studios®‘ product aesthetics with architectural references, preliminary concept images emerged, though initially offering limited control over detailed features.
Phase 3: Precision and Refinement with Krea Realtime Editor
To achieve greater precision, the design process continued with Krea’s Realtime Editor, enabling meticulous refinement. Incorporating Acne Studios®’ visual style by prompting and symmetrical photographs of iconic Brutalist buildings, the tool allowed detailed adjustments including:

Phase 4: Realistic Integration with ChatGPT and Midjourney
To visualize how the handbags would appear in real-world fashion scenarios, ChatGPT was employed to generate detailed product descriptions and alternate perspectives. ChatGPT integrated the product images into the generated models by Midjourney, allowing seamless integration of the handbag designs into realistic, high-quality fashion model images. This step ensured a convincing representation of the product in various lifestyle contexts.
Phase 5: Dynamic Visualization and Product Validation with Kling.AI
To elevate product presentation and engagement, short video sequences were generated using Kling.AI, breathing life into the designs. These dynamic visuals were strategically used in consumer surveys to assess product appeal, capturing valuable market insights and feedback.
Results and Impact
The fusion of AI-driven design methodologies, Acne Studios‘ sophisticated aesthetic, and the distinct Brutalist architectural style resulted in an innovative handbag collection characterized by:
